QUALIFICATION: CACHE (Council for Awards in Care, Health and Education) LEVEL 3
I have wanted to work with children for as long as I can remember. After leaving school at 16 in 2015, I began my apprenticeship in childcare and have dedicated my career to supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing ever since.
I started my journey at a nursery in Hagley, where I spent 8 years developing my skills and experience. During that time, I progressed from apprentice to Deputy Manager, gaining valuable knowledge in leadership, team development, safeguarding and creating nurturing environments where children can thrive.
I then spent nearly 2 years in my previous setting as a Senior Room Leader. This role allowed me to further strengthen my understanding of Early Years education while continuing to build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues. When the opportunity arose to step back into a managerial role at Little Learners, I was excited to take the next step in my career and continue doing what I love.
Alongside my professional journey, I have also become a parent myself. I welcomed my son, Parker, in 2021 and my daughter, Dotty, in 2024. Becoming a mum has given me an even greater appreciation of the trust parents place in childcare professionals every day. It has deepened my understanding of the importance of creating a safe, caring and stimulating environment where every child feels valued, supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.
I am passionate about providing the highest standards of care and education, and I believe every child deserves opportunities to learn through play, exploration, and meaningful experiences. Building positive relationships with families is at the heart of my approach, and I take pride in creating a warm and welcoming environment where children feel happy, confident and excited to learn.
I feel incredibly fortunate to have spent over a decade working in a profession that I genuinely love, and I look forward to continuing to support children and families throughout their Early Years journey.
