Childcare practitioner

EILEEN SHILLCOCK

My early working life was in varied business administration roles; then, 30 years ago with my own children, I helped as a volunteer in my local playgroup and parent and toddler group. This is where my passion for childcare started.
In 1995 I had qualified to manage our pre-school group, a rewarding and privileged role providing for my local children, who are adults now – some with children of their own!
In 1999 I had qualified in Training and Development, working for training providers to tutor and assess adults in qualifications for the care and education of children.  This culminated in becoming an IQA (Internal Quality Assurer), ensuring the quality of training for national awards in childcare.
My particular vocational area is in early years, however my work has taken me into areas of additional and special needs, cared for children, TAs in schools and childminding.
In 2015 I joined Little Learners, where I’m happily continuing to work with an unwavering love of and dedication to our children.
Qualifications:
Diploma in Pre-School Practice
Childcare and Education – Pre-school Provision
Training and Development and Review and assessment of Learning
Adult Learner Support (Literacy)
INTERESTS: When not helping out my partner with our own agricultural-based business, I can be found in my garden. I love flowers; growing them, arranging them, painting them and making them into sugar craft for cakes! I like baking, many craft activities and researching my family history.

We’ll handle your child with care!
