After working at a bank for 17 years, I left to be at home with my three young children. An opportunity came up to work one morning a week at my daughter’s pre-school. I got the bug for working in Early Years and have never looked back!
I started a Level 3 course in Early Childhood with the Open University. I learnt so much which helped my practice, and kept on studying, ending up with a BA (Hons) in Early Years in 2013.
In 2008 I had the opportunity of taking over the nursery I worked at, on the retirement of the owner. I ran this until 2020. I was fortunate to work in a joint provision with Wyre Forest Nursery Assessment Class, and learnt so much from them about supporting children with additional needs.
After three years working in different settings, I was delighted when the position of Senco became available at Little Learners. The team are all so committed to doing their best for each child: the children are all nurtured and given a wealth of exciting and stimulating experiences to enhance their learning and development. I share the same passion for giving each child the best chance to flourish, particularly supporting children with SEND and their families. I am delighted to be Senco and Deputy Manager. I have found my “happy place” at Little Learners and hope to be here for many years to come.

INTERESTS Outside of nursery, I enjoy sewing, quilting and gardening. Most weekends are spent in the Wyre Forest, trying to wear out my young collie Ned!
