In 2003 I studied for my BTEC National Diploma in Early Years (level 3), after finishing I worked as a nursery nurse at a private school in Worcestershire for 4 years with babies and children aged 0-3 years.
While I was there I started studying at Worcester university for my Foundation Degree in Early Years (level 5). After finishing this I decided to do a top-up degree year in Social Welfare to gain my full degree. I then started working at Moffats School in Shropshire as a matron, caring for children aged 7-13 years overnight and during the day. In 2013 I was promoted to Deputy Head of Care as well as taking on the role as Kindergarten teacher (nursery and Reception class). While in these roles I gained my Early Years Teacher Status from Worcester university. I enjoyed all aspects of my role here, especially the 3 weeks camping in Cornwall every summer! In Moffats final year of teaching I went on maternity leave with my first child, Louie.
In June 2018 I was appointed the role of Nursery Manager at Little Learners and it’s flown by! I have loved getting to know all of the staff, children and their families. I am passionate about delivering quality childcare and early education for all children. I enjoy watching the children grow and progress as the terms and years go on. I hope for many more enjoyable years at Little Learners’.
Interests: walking my energetic cocker spaniel, Rosie; camping, caravanning and spending time with friends and family.
